Murg: «Our goal is only wins from here»
Thomas Murg spoke to Novasports to give his insights on the upcoming Super League game against Panetolikos. Read what the Austrian midfielder said via paokfc.gr.
On the game with Olympiacos:
«In the first half we played very well. It was a split game, we had a good performance, we had opportunities, just like our opponents did. In the second half we conceded goals quickly. You pay for this in the big games. The final result of 3-0 is definitely a heavy one but it does not reflect the true image of the match.»
On the fact that now there are a lot of clubs chasing the top places and if this creates extra anxiety:
«Yes, now all the teams are close to each other in the standings. We have to win our games now. The aim is to make a fresh start with the match against Panetolikos. The pressure is increasing. We have games we can take and our goal is only victories.»
On the game with Panetolikos:
«We have to continue on our way. To play the football we know, to fight hard and to become even more effective. We have to score goals in the phases we create, because in every game we create many opportunities.»
On Shinji Kagawa and his arrival at the club;
«I know him well, I used to watch him at Dortmund. He is an excellent player who will help us a lot, a player with great technique and quality. He did his first training session with us and I think he will help us a lot. He plays in the ‘Number 10’ position and as an winger. And so this means I’m also competing with him. This makes me happy because there is healthy competition and this is something that improves you as a footballer and as a team.»
