PAOK TV has grown up quickly in the last couple of years. It acquired its own platform, which was awarded as the third best in the world in 2020, but it did not forget where it started – on YouTube.
PAOK’s channel on the world’s most popular video platform continues to offer content to its subscribers, which has increased by 17,000 and now counts 140,000, with the total views of our channel’s videos exceeding 10,000,000 and the viewing hours reaching 600,000!
These are numbers which show that our YouTube channel did not lose its momentum after the creation of PAOK TV, and that one can and does complement the other. Let’s take a look at the top five YouTube videos of the year.
5) Under-12s: Barcelona vs PAOK 1-2
Christos Tziolis’ breakthrough had everyone scouring the archives of the Golden Boy’s past. The most characteristic example of his skills is his performance for the Under-12s against Barcelona at La Masia, which was particularly popular during the last six months and remains to this day one of the most popular PAOK TV videos of all time.
4) The General’s Return
It was without doubt one of the most moving moments of the season. Makis Manavis returned ‘home’ after many years away and the Toumba revered him.
3) The Invincibles again and again
During the lockdown period we had the chance to reminisce about a lot of things. One of those was the incredible 2018-19 season which saw the club go undefeated to a league and cup double success. PAOK TV showed The Invincibles film live through the PAOK TV Rewind option and it claimed a spot as one of the year’s most popular videos.
2) PAOK vs. Benfica highlights
The first competitive match of the 2020-21 season was the big win over Besitkas which rubber-stamped the club’s place in the group stage of a European competition. The highlights of the match became one of the most watched videos among the PAOK TV channel’s subscribers.
