The PAOK youngster has established himself as a major protagonist from day one. Christos Tziolis, the winner of November’s edition, was exceptional also in December. He scored two goals against Omonia and Asteras Tripolis, won a penalty, and was a benchmark for the team’s attack. A was full of running, pressing, created chances, and showed once more the kind of maturity beyond his years in a tough month for the club.
There was a similar performance in the month from Andrija Zivkovic . The Serbian may not have posted the numbers that he has in previous months – and he scored just once from the penalty spot against Asteras – but he was once more a constant threat against opposition defences. Endlessly focused and passionate, he also put in plenty of ‘dirty work’, since in addition to his attackin duties, he was also key in the defensive aspect with his constant pressing and numerous interceptions.
Finally, Ingi Ingasson throws his name in the hat. The Icelandic defender is enjoying some of his best form and this is evident in his recent displays. A cool head, as well as intensity and dynamism where needed, he showed good positional sense in both defence and attack. The highlight was the winning goal against Panathinaikos in the derby at the Toumba .
