Christos Tziolis is understandably the favorite for this month’s award, due to the fact that he has two goals in contention for the prize. However, he does have some serious competition in the form of Karol Swiderski.

The first goal is the Golden Boy’s strike against Omonia in Cyprus. Several Double-headed Eagle players combined exceptionally well to fashion an opening for Tziolis, who finished off a flowing move with a clinical finish to beat the opposition goalkeeper and make the scores 1-1, just before half-time.

The young forward then conjured up a stunning strike against Asteras Tripolis. PAOK were playing with a numerical disadvantage, but still pressed forward for a goal that would pave the way for a victory. Tziolis took up possession on the left flank and surged forward, before skipping past a couple of challenges and then scoring from distance with a brilliant shot to lay the foundations for a three-point haul.

The third contender is Swiderski. In the match against Panathinaikos at the Toumba, the Polish marksman scored one of the easiest goals of his career, prodding the ball home with his head. For the ball to find its way into the back of the net, however, it required Dimitris Giannoulis to produce a mazy run to beat the Tryfili defense, and then an inch-perfect cross.
