PAOK did not manage to come away from Heraklion with the three points and had to settle for just a point. Abel Ferreira’s team made the perfect start with the opening goal inside five minutes, but OFI battled back and were 2-1 up at half-time. PAOK managed to respond well and finally an equalizing goal was found, but the visitors could not go on to win.

The major protagonist for the Dikefalos tou Vorra was Giannis Michailidis. The young central defender came off the bench at ha;f-time, produced an exceptional defensive display and came up with a wonderful goal from a direct free-kick.

In the voting for the Fans’ Man of the Match via paokfc.gr and the PAOK FC Official App, Michailidis collected 59,39% of the votes to win the award.

Alexandros Paschalakis came in second place thanks to a couple of vital saves that the big goalkeeper made, the best of which was a one-on-one situation when he denied Juan Neira right at the death. Mauricio was third after producing another solid display in midfield both helping defense and attack.
