Ferbando Varela is the first contender in the list with a crucial but also wonderful goal. Against Panathinaikos at the Toumba in the quarter-finals of the Greek Cup, The Beast made it 2-0 with a superb diving header from Vieirinha’s free-kick to give the Dikefalos tou Vorra the advantage in the first leg clash.
However, our central defender from the Ivory Coast faces some stiff competition. Douglas Augusto scored his first two goals in a PAOK shirt, and both of them were exceptional strikes.
The first which he scored against OFI at the Toumba was a measured side-footed effort which left the visiting goalkeeper absolutely no chance to stop it.
The second, against Larissa at the AEL FC Arena, was an absolute pearler, the Brazilian midfielder sending a thunderous long-range effort into the back of the net.
