Everyone was expecting a tough match, and so it proved to be the case. Larissa gave a good account of themselves at the Toumba, and their well-organised defense made life difficult for the Dikefalos tou Vorra. Abel Ferreira’s team, however, played some good football, created many chances, and one goal scored in the first half proved enough to clinch the three points.

Among the top performances on the night for PAOK was Karol Swiderski, who scored what proved to be the winning goal. The Polish striker netted from Vierinha’s cross, adding yet another strike to his tally. As well as the goal, Swiderski was also a constant threat throughout the match, always full of running and getting in behind the Larissa defenders.

In the voting for the Fans’ Man of the Match via paokfc.gr and the PAOK FC Official App, Swiderski collected 49,45% of the votes to win the award.

In second and third place were Josip Misic and Sverrir Ingi Ingasson. The former once again pulled all the strings for PAOK in midfield, while the latter was a defensive rock.
