It was a tough match which needed someone to make the difference. An excellent OFI Crete team, who have been the surprise-package of the league so far, were always a threat going forward. PAOK, however, came to Heraklion well prepared and in decisive mood. The Dikefalou tou Vorra did not give the Cretan side a sniff, putting in an impressive shift and could have won by much more than the 1-0 scoreline.

Among the top performances on the night for PAOK was Josip Misic. The Croatian midfielder seemed to be everywhere on the Yedi Kule pitch. He was full of running, exceptional as a shield for the back four, and was also in tip top shape in the final third. He helped the team to create several scoring chances, and his superb goal put the seal on what was a brilliant display
