It was a tough derby clash. Panathinaikos were leading by one goal with time running out. PAOK, however, has learned for a while now how not to lose. And it was the same again this time. While the final 2-2 scoreline was disappointing to the players, since it meant two points dropped, there was still great satisfaction at the way the team battled until the last seconds in order to keep our unbeaten record intact.

The most influential player was undoubtedly Adelinho Vierinha. The captain completed a full 45 minutes for the first time since returning from his ACL injury, with Abel Ferreira bringing him on at half-time. The Portuguese coach was vindicated with interest in his decision, as Vierinha scored both goals and was generally excellent in leading the team to secure the final result.
