The “Double-Headed Eagle” started strongly and came agonizingly close to an opener in the first minute of the encounter, but Balogiannis was denied by the woodwork. Until the interval, Pablo García’s pupils created and wasted many chances.

In the second half, PAOK U19s picked up the pace and increased pressure in the rival box. They were rewarded in the 77th minute, when Doumtsis, teed up by Chatzistravos, broke the deadlock with an impeccable finish. It was downhill from there, as the black-and-whites scored two more goals. In the 81st minute, Doumtsis’s initial effort was saved by the rival goalkeeper, but Chatzistravos collected the rebound and made it 2-0 for PAOK. Three minutes later, Salamouras was brought down in the box and Gaitanidis converted the resulting penalty to seal the “Double-Headed Eagle’s” victory.
