Squad announced for AEL match
The question-mark of previous days regarded the readiness level of Alexandros Paschalakis, following the unsporting knock he sustained in Lamia. On Sunday, PAOK will be deprived of a very important player, but we are not talking about the Greek goalkeeper.
Dimitris Pelkas will miss Sunday’s game, as he suffered a knock in the ankle during Friday’s training session. The pain and swelling didn’t allow him to train on Saturday and he has been ruled out of the encounter. On the contrary, Alin Toșca recovered from a viral infection and trained normally.
José Alberto Cañas is sidelined through suspension, therefore Răzvan Lucescu must make two changes to the line-up he fielded on Monday.
On Saturday, players and coaching staff focused on tactical work and set-piece practice. The session concluded with a training game and afterwards the Romanian coach announced the 18-man squad he will have at his disposal:
Rey, Paschalakis, Toșca, Varela, Crespo, Matos, Vieirinha , Maurício, Shakhov, Wernbloom, El Kaddouri, Biseswar, Jabá, Limnios, Warda, Prijović, Akpom, Karelis.
