U17s held in Agrinio
Despite their high-quality performance, PAOK U17s were held to a 2-2 draw by Panetolikos in Agrinio. They remain at the top of the standings though with a tally of 20 points, three more than PAS Giannina who visit Thessaloniki on Saturday 1 December.
The home side took the lead in the 15th minute, but PAOK went level ten minutes later with a direct free kick by Sapountzis. Playing attractive football, the “Double-Headed Eagle” got their second goal at the stroke of the hour with Pipiliaris, who made the most of Konstantelias’s defense-splitting pass. But Panetolikos earned the point of the 2-2 draw in the 80th minute, taking advantage of a defensive slip up.
