U17s edge 2-2 draw in Ioannina
PAOK and PAS Giannina U17 sides shared a half each and it was only natural their Saturday game would end undecided (2-2). It’s the third consecutive draw for PAOK, who now have 9 points in the U17 Super League.
Giannina were better in the first half and they rushed to a 2-0 lead. They broke the deadlock in the 25th minute and scored from the spot ten minutes later.
PAOK made their way back into the game in the 40th minute, with a header by Panagiotou on an assist by Aventisian. The same player equalized in the 55th minute with another headed effort, connecting Konstantelias’s corner kick. The “Double-Headed Eagle” pushed for a third goal and wasted several chances –but it wasn’t meant to be.
