PAOK U19s had pace, showed their quality, but also displayed signs of beginners’ stress. They prevailed 2-0 over PAS Giannina in Ioannina and kicked off the new season with three points.
Koutsias netted the opener in the 13th minute, collecting the rebound after the rival goalkeeper failed to hold on to the ball from Tasiouras’ cross. Smyrlis sealed PAOK’s victory with an individual move from the flank.
