Final Four U17, Volume 8
Consistent and passionate about football, PAOK U17s are ready for one more Final Four. The 8th edition of Super League U17 Final Four will be held in Agrinio from 7 to 9 May, with PAOK, Xanthi, Olympiakos and Panathinaikos participating. PAOK will face Panathinaikos (20:00) in Monday’s second semi-final. Earlier, at 17:00, Xanthi will play against Olympiakos. The final is scheduled to kick off on Wednesday at 19:00.
PAOK recorded 17 victories, 5 draws and suffered two defeats. They finished second in their group with a tally of 56 points, trailing leaders Xanthi by two. The “Double-Headed Eagle” were also very efficient, scoring 65 goals and conceding 13. Pournaras netted 8 goals in the process, while Vrakas, Koreas and Spartiatis scored 7 each. Sapountzis led the assists’ list with 7 to his name. Pournaras and Grosdis served six assists each. Regarding match appearances, Pournaras leads the charts with 1.548 minutes (21 matches, 20 starts), Dimitris Theodoridis is second with 1.518 minutes (21 matches, 19 starts) and Angelos Moutzouris completes the podium with 1.516 minutes spent on the pitch (19 matches, 17 starts).
Panathinaikos topped Group A with 59 points in 24 games. Olympiakos finished one point behind. The rest of the pack: Panionios (45), Αsteras Tripolis (41), Αtromitos (37), ΑΕΚ Athens (22), Platanias (19), Levadiakos (14), Apollon Smyrni (7).

In the previous 7 editions of the Super League U17, Olympiakos won the title three times. PAOK have two league trophies in their cabinet, while Xanthi and Aris have one title each. PAOK prevailed in the 2015-16 Final Four in Peristeri, led by coaches Pablo García and Angelos Zazopoulos. In 2012-13, coached by Alekos Theodoridis, they celebrated their first league title in the U17 age group in Xanthi.
