Biseswar’s header lands Best Goal of Matchday 28 award
Diego Biseswar’s excellent header against Xanthi in last Sunday’s encounter in Toumba Stadium won the vote for Best Goal of matchday 28 of the Super League Souroti.
He came off the bench in the 63rd minute and kick-started PAOK’s comeback against Xanthi. Diego Biseswar proved how wise Răzvan Lucescu’s decision was, becoming the catalyst of the “Double-Headed Eagle’s” victory with a goal and an assist.
One minute after entering the pitch, he collected Yevhen Shakhov’s pass and scored with a header (a rather unusual sight), leveling the score. He was the one to break Xanthi’s defensive resilience.
The Dutchman’s goal won 25,29% of the vote in the poll organized by PSAP, Super League and Nova.
Luciano Neves of Panathinaikos came second, while Christos Albanis of Apollon Smyrni completed the podium.
Meanwhile, Biseswar was third in the vote for MVP of matchday 28 of the Super League Souroti, behind AEK Athens’s Tasos Bakasetas and Albanis of Apollon Smyrni.
