It is an emotionally charged period and, as PAOK Academy, we express our unwavering support to Ivan Savvidis.

At PAOK Academy, we experience on a daily basis the concern and wish of Mr Savvidis to improve social fibre by insisting on education. It is obvious that PAOK lend weight on education and character building first, and then focus on football talent. It is no fluke that 35 young footballers of PAOK have been admitted to universities and technical schools in the last four years.

It goes without saying that the Academy provides everything we need (and even more) in order to play, learn, acquire values and experience and grow in a safe and sane environment.

The sensitivity of Mr Savvidis regarding disadvantaged social groups is well known and documented – through PAOK Action. But it also well known to all of us who work by his side that he contributes much more to society, but wants to keep it away from the spotlight.

For all of the above, we feel obligated to “shout” that we are his shield.
