Gojko Cimirot’s breathtaking goal against Olimpik Donetsk for the UEFA Europa League 3rd qualifying round was voted as Regency Casino Best Goal of August by users of paokfc.gr and PAOK FC Official App.
Scoring isn’t Gojko Cimirot’s strongest suit. He’s been at PAOK for more than two seasons, but has scored just twice. Both goals however were amazing. He scored his first in the encounter against Panathinaikos in Leoforos and had landed four awards for it: Best Goal of matchday, Regency Casino Best Goal of February, Best Goal of 2015-16 season and Player’s Best Goal of the Year.
His strike against Olimpik Donetsk in August has already won him one award and sets him up for more to come, although we’re still in the beginning of the season. In the poll held by paokfc.gr and PAOK FC Official App for the Regency Casino Best Goal of August, Cimirot’s strike eclipsed all competition with 76,94% of the vote. Aleksandar Prijović’s outstanding header against Östersunds FK was in second place, while Róbert Mak’s goal against AOK Kerkyra in Toumba Stadium completed the podium.
