U17s brace for the Final Four

PAOK U17s cruised to an emphatic 4-1 victory over AEL Larissa on the last matchday of the league’s regular season. The “Double-Headed Eagle” finished at the top of Group B with a tally of 68 points.

PAOK youngsters now focus on the Final Four of the Super League, to be held on 18, 19 and 20 May in Tripolis with the participation of Olympiacos and Asteras from Group A and PAOK and Xanthi from Group B. Olympiacos lost to Asteras in the final game of their group, meaning that PAOK will face the red-and-whites in the semi-final of 18 May.

The “Double-Headed Eagle” took an early lead with Gargalatzidis (3’) teed up by Salamouras. Moutzouris made it 2-0 with a header eight minutes later on a cross by Tsiggaras. Another header, by Gaitanidis in the 38th minute, gave PAOK a three-goal lead. Scorer turned to provider in the 54th minute, as Gaitanidis fed Vrakas for the black-and-whites’ fourth of the day.
