Ahead of a big final, we address football fans together. We are looking forward to a real feast, a celebration of pure and honest football, a final where the best and luckiest team will be crowned 2017 Greek Cup winners and the losing side will be applauded for their effort.

We call upon you to participate with the same spirit in this event. Support your team passionately but without extreme behaviour, protect your club by demonstrating that you can attend matches together in all Greek stadiums. We all stand to gain by it.

This final must be rendered special, as we both honour our history and our common descent. We are handed the opportunity to prove in fact how we want our football from now on: we want fair-play, fair refereeing, both sets of supporters in the stands, competitive football and the utmost respect for the rival.

The tragic story of Nasos Konstantinou’s untimely demise -his memory is honoured by both clubs- as well as the stories of all those who lost their lives in football-related events, should serve as the foundation for the fans’ peaceful coexistence.

Let us all rise to the occasion!
