Born on 30 July 1982, Harald Lechner started his referee career in 2008 in the Austrian league and earned his FIFA badge in 2010. He kicked off his international career with friendly international encounters and youth teams’ matches.

For his first UEFA Europa League match, in the summer of 2010, he refereed the 2nd round encounter between FK Teteks and FK Ventspils.

It’s the second time that Lechner will visit Greece. He officiated the UEFA Europa League group stage encounter between Panathinaikos and Estoril Praia (1-1) in December 2014.

In Toumba Stadium, he will be accompanied by his countrymen Andreas Heidenreich and Maximilian Kolbitsch, the assistant referees, with Julian Weinberger acting as fourth official.
