PAOK travel to the Netherlands with 21 players
The tiring yet substantial part of preparation is over. Action begins. PAOK wrapped up preparations and on Monday morning they fly to Amsterdam for their away game against AFC Ajax.
Sunday’s training session was about technique, transition from defence to attack and vice versa and of course rehearsing their tactics on Tuesday. Léo Matos and Djalma Campos are at the disposal of Vladan Ivić, as they trained with their teammates and shook off their minor injuries.
Fernando Varela is in Romania to handle the technicalities of his release from Steaua and will be back to Thessaloniki on Monday, in order to continue recovery training alongside the players who didn’t make the list for the AFC Ajax game.
Vladan Ivić chose 21 players for the trip to Amsterdam: Glykos, Brkić, Melissas, Leovac, Κitsiou, Μatos, Τzavellas, Μalezas, Crespo, Τziolis, Shakhov, Charisis, Cimirot, Biseswar, Pelkas , Μystakidis, Jairo, Campos, Rodrigues, Athanasiadis, Κοulouris.
PAOK’s chartered flight takes off at 09:30. The players are scheduled to train at Amsterdam Arena at 20:30 (Greek time) and their session will be open to media for the first 15 minutes. Earlier (at 19:45) Vladan Ivić and Stefanos Athanasiadis will concede their press conference. AFC Ajax will hold their training session at 17:00, with their head coach Peter Bosz appearing before the media at 16:15.
