From defence to attack
Following Wednesday’s friendly against Silvolde SC and after spending Thursday morning in the woods, PAOK players were back on the pitch in the evening to work on several elements of their game.
Transition is an integral part of modern football and, if executed correctly, a valuable tool guaranteeing a team’s success. On Thursday evening, Vladan Ivić worked specifically on transition from defence to attack and vice versa, being constantly by his players’ side and voicing instructions.
The first part of the session consisted of warm-up drills, obstacle courses and changes of direction with ball. The highlight of the evening was a penalty awarded in the final stages, with Léo Matos stepping up to take the spot kick against Panagiotis Glykos. What happened? You’ll see…
