Stelios Malezas addressed the details that conditioned the encounter and spoke about the team’s future:

«We faced a team of quality. We conceded a “cold” goal that changed the complexion of the game. We tried to equalize in the first half through Tziolis’s header and we could have gotten something more out of this encounter. We are very sad because we wanted more. Our chances of qualifying now are slim, but we have to exhaust them. We need to defeat Qäbälä and then see if the result of the other group match suits us. We didn’t create much danger today, but a few good passes here and there could have made a big difference. Our opponents defended well when needed. I know PAOK very well and I firmly believe that patience is of the essence right now. Something is being built on solid ground and we neend to be patient. In the first season of Fernando Santos, there was murmur in the stands adn around the team. But you all remember that in the following two seasons the team played great football and we still talk about it. Football is about patience, hard work and a bit of luck. I am a professional. Whenver coming onto the pitch, I try to vindicate myself and my coach for trusting in me. Let’s be patient , in order to have legitimate hope that we will be successful in upcoming years. We should all help build this team. Our work in trainings is outstanding and that is obvious on the pitch. It’s a new philosophy and it can’t be implemented 100% right from the start. Let’s be patient, because this effort is worth it«.

Charis Charisis was downbeat about the result and said the following:

«It’s not pleasant to leave Russia without a victory or at least a point to show for. I would have preferred to have a mediocre game –and not a good one, as you tell me- if PAOK were to gain a positive result. We came here to mind our defence and score on a counterattack. We did well, but , but conceded a goal indicative of our opponents’ quality. We also scored, but it was too late to turn it around. Krasnodar are not better than PAOK. We were deprived of luck, but that’s football. I don’t know what was happening in previous seasons, but PAOK are definitely at a higher level now. I believe that we can change systems. It didn’t all work out, but at times we were good«.
