“Make an effort for the best”
After making his debut for PAOK at Toumba Stadium, in a match that didn’t go as planned, Marin Leovac spoke to media representatives in the mixed zone.
Here is what the Croatian player said:
On the encounter:
«We enjoyed 2-3 chances to win the match, but we were up against a tough opponent. I wanted to win my first game with PAOK, but Xanthi defended in numbers, we failed to find spaces and therefore were left with this draw. We go strong for our next match. There were several newcomers in the starting line-up and we will need time to adjust. We wanted to score an early goal to open up their defence, but didn’t make it and things became eventually tougher«.
On his debut:
«I believe this is a strong league. The match was tough and physical. It was my first game, I will continue my effort and improve further«.
On his first impressions of the club:
«I have only good things to say about the team. They are strong and well organised, with great fans and we will try for the best«.
