Leovac joins PAOK on four-year deal [video]
PAOK FC announce the signing of Marin Leovac from HNK Rijeka. The Croatia international defender penned a four-year deal and will sport the No4 shirt.
Marin Leovac was born on 7 August 1988 in Jajce, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and was brought up in Austria where his family moved during the civil war in former Yugoslavia.
At the age of 14, he joined the youth ranks of FK Austria Wien. He remained there until January 2014, when he decided to return to Croatia and sign for HNK Rijeka.
His progress was amazing during the 18 months he stayed at Rijeka. He established himself at left back, won the Croatian Cup of 2014 and lined up impressive displays.
Having dual citizenship, he was made to choose which country he would represent in November 2014. He opted for Croatia rather than Austria and went on to earn a dream first cap with the Vatreni. The rival was Argentina of Lionel Messi.
