Setback with Glykos’ injury
Panagiotis Glykos left Saturday’s training session due to injury and has been ruled out of the first leg encounter against NK Lokomotiva Zagreb.
In one of the exercises under the guidance of Silvije Čavlina, the Greek international goalkeeper complained of shoulder pain and withdrew from training. According to the medical staff’s preliminary assessment, Panagiotis Glykos has suffered a bruise on his back, the same injury he sustained in the final stage of last season.
His condition will be reevaluated in upcoming days. The player is expected to return to Thessaloniki on Tuesday in order to have an MRI.
As for the training session, those who played more than 45 minutes against FC Dnipro Dnipropetrovsk did recuperation work under the watchful eye of Paolo Artico, while the rest engaged in ball circulation drills in reduced space.
Eyal Golasa complained of pains in the region of his recent injury and didn’t participate in training, but remained in the hotel for physiotherapy.
