Energy conservation and preparation

There is little room for maneuvering in training, as the play-offs consist of only six games scheduled every three days. Therefore Giorgos Georgiadis is trying to steer his tired and injury-stricken roster through the highly important upcoming games.

PAOK players split into two groups again on Friday. Those who played against Panathinaikos did jogging and drills in the gym. The rest worked on ball circulation and transition with possession games in reduced spaces.

Róbert Mak still complains of back pains and stayed in the gym. He is expected to train on Saturday, when his condition will be reassessed ahead of the Leoforos game. The same goes for Stelios Pozoglou. His MRI came out clear but he is still in pain and his participation against Panathinaikos is still in doubt.

Stefanos Athanasiadis complains of pain at the back and in the groin area. Panagiotis Glykos worked on the stationary bicycle, while Alexandros Tziolis did physiotherapy due to foot pains, but he is suspended anyway for the Leoforos game. Ricardo Costa has a minor ischium injury but trained normally. Dimitris Salpingidis trained apart from his teammates as he felt his operated toe sore.

PAOK will train at noon on Saturday at Toumba Stadium and then will travel to Athens.
