Operational strength and ball circulation
Tuesday’s training session was held under the watchful eye of Giorgos Savvidis and Iakovos Angelidis. Weights, bars and gym balls were on the menu, along with ball circulation drills.
PAOK players cooled down during their day off and returned to trainings in high intensity on Tuesday. They worked on operational strength in order to tone their muscles and then did aerobic adjustments. As to tactics, they focused on ball circulation in reduced space.
In the last part of the session, PAOK players were treated to a training match free of restrictions, in a reduced pitch and against four goals. Alexandros Tziolis went through a special recovery session in order to be ready for upcoming trainings and Sunday’s game against PAS Giannina.
For the first time since undergoing surgery in the first metatarsal bone of his right foot, Dimitris Salpingidis did jogging. Dimitris Konstantinidis complained of knee pains in the end of the session and was treated on the spot by team doctor Giannis Rallis. His condition is not serious.
Giorgos Savvidis visited Nea Mesimvria to attend PAOK’s training session. Club president Iakovos Angelidis , General Manager Chrysostomos Gagatsis and Facilities Manager Giannis Dimogiannis held a meeting to discuss the necessary improvement work at PAOK Training Centre.
Wednesday’s training session is scheduled to begin at 15.00 at Nea Mesimvria.
