Giorgos Georgiadis tried his players’ endurance on Holy Wednesday, as they were treated to two training sessions of high intensity. In the morning, they worked on their physical condition.
Alexandros Tziolis followed part of the session and then did strengthening drills. Hedwiges Maduro continued his physical condition program in intense pace, while Facundo Pereyra did physiotherapy and Panagiotis Deligiannidis remained in the gym.
In the afternoon, it was all about tactics, as Giorgos Georgiadis used half-pitch games in order to demonstrate to his troops how he wants them to move during the match.
Hedwiges Maduro provided the good news of the session, as he trained for the first time since his serious injury in the encounter against OFI. The Dutch midfielder participated in the tactical drills, but refrained from engaging in tough duels, as his arm is still on the mend.
Alexandros Tziolis trained normally, Facundo remained in the gym, as did Stefanos Athanasiadis who complained of pelvis pains. Panagiotis Deligiannidis, with a minor tear of the interior lateral ligament, followed a special recovery session under the guidance of Giannis Tsakanikas.
Holy Thursday’s training session is scheduled to begin at 15.00 at Toumba Stadium.
