Despite the away defeat to Panthrakikos, PAOK have no alternative than keep on working and trying to improve in order to be ready when the play-offs start.

Before the Sunday training, ergophysiologist Giorgos Ziogas conducted tests, starting with the players who didn’t play at Komotini, in order to make the proper adjustments and issue a-la-carte training in the upcoming sessions. All players will go through the drill.

After the warm-up with runs and sprints, Giorgos Georgiadis and his assistants worked on improving ball circulation in reduced-space games. Those who started the encounter against Panthrakikos followed a session of aggressive recuperation.

Christian Noboa and Róbert Mak were absent from training as they left Thessaloniki to join their respective national teams. Ergys Kace, Răzvan Raț and Stefanos Athanasiadis will go on international duty on Monday, while Konstantinidis, Koulouris, Pozoglou and Deligiannidis have also been called to Greece’s U21 and U19 teams.

Hedwiges Maduro did muscular strengthening drills, while Raț had physiotherapy. Ricardo Costa has been given his training schedule and has travelled to Portugal, as he is included in Fernando Santos’s preselection. Dimitris Salpingidis continues his recovery program following his metatarsal surgery in the right foot.

PAOK players have been given the day off on Monday 23 March. They will return to trainings on Tuesday, with the session kicking off at 12.30 at Nea Mesimvria.
