PAOK FC President Ivan Savvidis made the following statement to paokfc.gr regarding recent changes in the team:

«In an extremely difficult moment for the team, we handed Giorgos Georgiadis the tough task of achieving our aims. Since the beginning he has been one of my closest collaborators and I have unconditional faith in him for his know-how and honesty. He has our strongest support because he is worth it. He has been devoted and loyal to PAOK and has never shied away from complicated situations. It is also certain that he will be a key figure in the team’s future that is already being carved out.

The afore-mentioned future doesn’t include Jordi Cruyff, as erroneously published by media, despite our respect to his name and capabilities. We never approach professionals under contract with other clubs, we haven’t talked to him nor will we talk in the future.
