With Ivan Savvidis standing by the team and attending the training session, PAOK players wrapped up preparations for their encounter against Olympiacos. PAOK FC President was at Toumba Stadium on Saturday and watched from the stands as the team trained.

The good news of the day is Alexandros Tziolis following part of normal training for the first time since sustaining his injury. He will complete his recovery program on Monday 9 February and is expected to return to full training along his teammates on Tuesday.

Despite still complaining of foot pains, Dimitris Salpingidis trained normally and is likely to make Angelos Anastasiadis’ list for the game. PAOK coach can also count on Răzvan Raț and Ergys Kace who return to action after serving their suspension.

During the session that focused mainly on tactical work with a training match, Fanis Tzandaris -who will miss Sunday’s match through suspension- pulled a thigh muscle and retired out of precaution.

Hedwiges Maduro continued physiotherapy for his elbow injury and put on his new brace that will immobilize his arm for three weeks. The Dutch midfielder will be sidelined for at least six weeks.

On Sunday morning, PAOK players will hold their usual stretching session and then their coach will announce his squad list for the Olympiacos game.
