PAOK failed to make it to the next stage of the Greek Cup and now they shift their focus on the league. Preparations for the decisive and demanding encounter against Asteras Tripolis started right after their return from Corfu.

PAOK players trained on Thursday noon at Toumba. Those who played against AO Kerkyra followed a special recuperation program with physical condition drills and physiotherapy. The remaining players trained normally and worked on their tactics, especially on ball circulation and attacking plays.

Alexandros Tziolis, who still complains of groin pains, went through a specialized recovery session, Giorgos Katsikas picked up rhythm in his training and Panagiotis Glykos started jogging. Panagiotis Deligiannidis missed training because of a viral infection. Nikos Spyropoulos trained alone as a disciplinary measure and is expected to appear before the administration.

Friday’s training session is scheduled to begin at 12.00 at Toumba Stadium. PAOK’s expedition will leave for Kalamata at 15.00 and from there they will travel by bus to Tripoli.
