Angelos Anastasiadis was forced into two substitutions against Dinamo Minsk on Thursday, seeing Giorgos Katsikas and Stefanos Athanasiadis limp out of the encounter.
In an effort to contain Dja Djedje, Katsikas fell on the ground with a thigh problem and was substituted off in the 28th minute. Team doctor Giorgos Ikonomidis suggested that the player suffered a biceps femoris’ strain, but he will conduct more tests upon landing in Thessaloniki. If the doctor’s first prognosis is confirmed, the Greek defender will be sidelined for 2-3 weeks.
When Klaus completed his brace of the evening, he collided with his rival and received a tough kick in the right foot toes. It was a hard knock, rendered even more painful by the cold. His condition will be evaluated further after PAOK return to Greece, but the doctor was reassuring that no major injury was sustained.
