Konstantinidis, Golasa ruled out of the play-offs
PAOK won’t be able to count on two valuable players for the remainder of the season due to injury.
MRI results confirmed the medical staff’s fears regarding Dimitris Konstantinidis and Eyal Golasa. The Greek defender suffered a 2nd degree sprain in the right calf and is expected to remain sidelined for 4-5 weeks.
Golasa suffered a 2nd degree sprain in the left groin and will return to action in four weeks. The exact duration of his absence however will depend on his body’s reaction to the treatment in the first week. His recuperation will probably last up to six weeks, given that the Israeli midfielder had sustained the same injury earlier in the season.
However these are not the only problems for PAOK. Stefanos Athanasiadis will also do an MRI, after complaining of a sore right groin on Friday and hurting more on Saturday.
Facundo Pereyra’s participation in the Panionios game is in doubt, after getting four stitches in the right eyebrow on Friday. The Argentinian player still complained of pains on Saturday and trained apart from his teammates. His participation will be decided on the day of the match.
Injured Giakoumis, Salpingidis are also sidelined, along with suspended Ricardo Costa, Christian Noboa, Róbert Mak and Stefanos Athanasiadis.
Giorgos Georgiadis has the following players in his disposal for the Panionios encounter: Itandje, Glykos, Skondras, Raț, Kitsiou, Deligiannidis, Pougouras, Tzavellas, Papagiannopoulos, Vítor, Tziolis, Kace, Maduro, Pozoglou, Papadopoulos, Pereyra, Koulouris, Savvidis.
