Pouggouras and Siampanis at PAOK until 2019
PAOK FC announce that the contracts of Achilleas Pouggouras and Marios Siampanis have been extended until 2019.
Achilleas Pouggouras joined the “Double-Headed Eagle” in 2012 from Promitheas Larissa. He was a vital cog of the PAOK U20 team that won the Super League in 2013-14. In the following season, he made his senior debut when Angelos Anastasiadis introduced him as a substitute in an encounter against Veria. The coach of PAOK had noticed his skills in the training games and decided to… promote him. Last season he was given on loan to Veria and got lots of playing time. In the summer of 2016, Vladan Ivić brought him along to the team’s preseason stage and decided to keep him in the roster of the “Double-Headed Eagle”.
The youngest player of PAOK’s senior team Μarios Siampanis signed for the club in 2013 from Pavlos Melas. He is an international at youth level, has two full seasons with PAOK U17 under his belt and last season’s U17 league title to show for. In the current season, apart from starting goalkeeper of PAOK U20s, he is the third keeper of the senior team.
